Fall Mood

Here it goes again…   The temperature begins to cool, the sun goes to sleep, and everything in nature begins to die. Yes, it is that time of year again – and I am in a mood.  Nothing fits me better right now than my black jacket, bat-winged black shirt, tired and worn blue jeans (I don’t care if they are snug around my hips and ass), and my favorite pair of (shit kickers) Doc Martens. Déjà Vu – In love with life

I cannot explain the feelings inside when I sit down every Saturday morning here at The Slow Train Cafe in Oberlin. Today, smooth jazz plays over the sound system and as I sit here sipping on my hot dirty chai, I experience a strong feeling of déjà vu. I know that I’ve done this before as another person, in another place and time. I have goosebumps and the feeling of nostalgia overwhelms me. “Sexy Disco” Haiku [poetry]

When I traveled to Italy in 2011, I learned the phrase “sexy disco” from Matteo, my sexy Italian tour guide on my ride to the Amalfi Coast. I found that “sexy disco” is the term for strip clubs when I told him where I worked at the time. From what I understand, they are nothing like the gritty clubs of the US.
