  I used to take great pride in and loved to brag about my “strip club immune system of steel” – that came to a screeching halt when I got sick last week. I’m guessing it’s because I don’t have that constant exposure anymore to all the crazy germs and viruses out there. Let’s face it, there are no sick days or paid leave for strippers, or anyone for that matter working in the adult entertainment industry. “Sexy Disco” Haiku [poetry]

When I traveled to Italy in 2011, I learned the phrase “sexy disco” from Matteo, my sexy Italian tour guide on my ride to the Amalfi Coast. I found that “sexy disco” is the term for strip clubs when I told him where I worked at the time. From what I understand, they are nothing like the gritty clubs of the US. Dirty Illusions – Strip Club Rewind Two Years Later

A world of false illusions, fantasies, and lies; the confining walls of the strip club was the perfect place for me to hide.   I could be anyone I wanted to – a fantasy in my mind.
