Bittersweet Legacy

  I’m feeling a bit of the bittersweet symphony of life today.    When I woke up today, I did what almost everyone nowadays does – I checked my phone as if it were the morning newspaper. I found that I had received a heartfelt thank you from a friends’ son; I had donated to his fraternity’s philanthropy project. Fall Mood

Here it goes again…   The temperature begins to cool, the sun goes to sleep, and everything in nature begins to die. Yes, it is that time of year again – and I am in a mood.  Nothing fits me better right now than my black jacket, bat-winged black shirt, tired and worn blue jeans (I don’t care if they are snug around my hips and ass), and my favorite pair of (shit kickers) Doc Martens. Déjà Vu – In love with life

I cannot explain the feelings inside when I sit down every Saturday morning here at The Slow Train Cafe in Oberlin. Today, smooth jazz plays over the sound system and as I sit here sipping on my hot dirty chai, I experience a strong feeling of déjà vu. I know that I’ve done this before as another person, in another place and time. I have goosebumps and the feeling of nostalgia overwhelms me.
