ICE Tactics, Trumpism, and the Cowardice of a Complicit Congress
The American Descent: ICE Tactics, Trumpism, and the Cowardice of a Complicit Congress
How is what we’re seeing from ICE not the Gestapo all over again? That’s not hyperbole. That’s a fair question.
When families are ripped apart in the dead of night, when raids terrorize communities, and when people fear deportation for simply existing, how is this not reminiscent of the darkest chapters of the 20th century? You don’t need to squint to see the parallels between what ICE is doing and what the Nazi regime’s secret police once did.
This is fascism. Plain and simple. And if you’re not calling it what it is, you’re enabling it.
Our Founding Fathers Would Be Ashamed
The same revolutionaries who fought to free this country from tyranny are now watching, metaphorically or otherwise, as the nation turns its back on liberty, compassion, and justice. They created a system of checks and balances to prevent authoritarian rule in the Constitution. They understood what happens when power consolidates in the hands of one man—or one movement.
And yet, here we are.
Trumpism, under the guise of patriotism, is rotting this country from the inside. MAGA followers chant about freedom while cheering on the erosion of civil rights. They celebrate cruelty as strength. They’ve gone so far off the rails that they’re now claiming Anne Frank was fictional.
Anne Frank. A child murdered in a genocide.
If you needed proof that MAGA is on the wrong side of history, this is it.
The Shadow of Mein Kampf into Trumpism
Donald Trump once reportedly called Mein Kampf one of his favorite books. Whether he read it or just admired the authoritarian blueprint, his playbook looks awfully familiar. Dehumanize the other. Undermine the press. Elevate himself as the sole voice of truth. Undercut institutions. Consolidate power. Repeat.
Trumpism.
Should we be surprised this is happening? No. We were warned. Many times.
But what makes this worse is that we’re supposed to have institutions to stop it.
Where Are the Checks and Balances Now?
SCOTUS? Deeply compromised.
Congress? Largely spineless.
Where are the hearings? Where are the subpoenas? Where is the outcry from the people who swore an oath to defend the Constitution? The same Constitution Trump trampled, repeatedly, and continues to do so with impunity.
He’s promoting crypto scams that have nothing to do with the duties of the presidency, and yet somehow, no charges. No consequences. No accountability.
Where is the justice? Where is the rule of law?
To the Few Who Still Stand Tall
A handful of lawmakers still fight the good fight:
Jasmine Crockett. AOC. Bernie Sanders. Adam Schiff. Maxwell Frost. Chris Murphy.
They’re calling it out. They’re showing up. But they’re outnumbered. Out-shouted. Often undermined by their own party.
Want to Fight Back? Start With 5 Calls.
Feeling angry isn’t enough. We need action. And one of the most effective ways to hold our leaders accountable is by calling them—directly.
That’s where the 5 Calls app comes in. It’s one of the simplest, most powerful tools we have right now to push back against inaction and corruption.
🗣️ Here’s how it works:
-
The app (or website) gives you a list of current issues.
-
You select a topic—like immigration abuse, corruption, or threats to democracy and our Constitution.
-
It provides a short, clear script.
-
You make the call. The app even shows you the numbers for your representatives based on your zip code.
It’s fast. It’s effective. It matters.
Every call is logged. Every voice adds pressure. And believe it or not, Congressional offices do track public opinion—especially when it comes in volume.
If you’ve ever wondered “What can I do?”, this is your answer. It takes five minutes. Five calls. One voice that echoes with millions.
📲 Download it. Use it. Share it.
Is Everyone Just Afraid of Trump?
It’s a serious question. Why hasn’t he been held accountable? Is it cowardice? Corruption? Calculated inaction?
Whatever the reason, it’s not good enough.
We are watching democracy bend to the will of one man and his cult. If we don’t rise up through words, votes, protests, and organizing, it will break.
History is watching.
The world is watching.
And our kids and grandkids will ask what we did during this time.
Let’s make sure we have an answer worth giving.
End fascism. End Trumpism. Defend democracy and the Constitution. Before it’s too late.
