Take Back The Power!

I’m tired of being told that my vote didn’t matter. That I was an uninformed voter. That I was a third party spoiler. Most of all, I’m tired of being told that it is my fault that Trump is packing to move into his new home for the next four years.   I have no regrets. I voted my conscience.   I voted for the candidate whom I felt would turn this country into the great land I grew up learning about in the history books of my younger…

Summertime Sadness

Cleaning through my notes once again on my iPhone and iPad…  The following are snippets about love, lust, and relationships I made sure to jot down over the years, as to not lose the thoughts and possibly (someday) use them for writing prompts. Why I’m Destined to be Alone – NSFW

The relationship gods do not like me – I am convinced of this fact.   After four years of not being in a (conventional) romantic relationship, I’ve grown used to my solitary life – and I love it. The Struggle of (Un)Affordable Health Care

Mental illness runs in my family, especially depression. My mother described herself over the years as being “manic depressive” – I do not argue that fact with her. From what I can gather, her mother was also depressed. My mother refused to take meds for her depression, and if anyone in the history of man should take meds, it should be her. I have dealt with depression issues since childhood. I was always a social butterfly, but still very much withdrawn. I never disclosed to my friends the frightening…

Children + Facebook = Asking for Trouble

I love Facebook and all forms of social media.   Building my author platform has never been easier thanks to this advancement in technology. I write something, click and share. People can then click on the link and read my musings. Easy shameless self-promotion at its best.  Social media has made so many things like news, photos from events and a view into each other’s lives easy and instantly accessible. Snap a photo, upload and BAM! – instant gratification. This instant gratification also includes sick people waiting to prey…
