If you are a writer and would like to be a Featured Guest Post, please let me know!

Hello, fellow bloggers and readers. My name is Zachary Paul Chopchinski. I have been given the amazing opportunity to speak today on my most recent book, which I will publish independently. I wanted to begin this posting by giving a large ‘Thank You’ to Laura to allowing me to write on her blog.

About Me

Zachary ChopchinskiFirstly, I would like to talk a little about myself as I am new to the world of publishing and would like any future readers to know a bit about me.

I am 26 years old and live in Maine with my lovely wife, Layla. I work in the security field and am working on a series that has been long in the making.

Working in a field like security, despite the fact that often I was a manager and in charge of sensitive situations, I found myself with plenty of time to dream up stories. Working primarily nights exacerbated this, since I was often left to my own devices.

This alone time allowed for me to create other lives, worlds, and times. Often, this led to fervid writings penned as I arrived home after long nights – my day supposedly ending, yet merely at its start.

How I came up with The Curious Tale of Gabrielle

One day, while walking around the city, I found myself in an antique shop looking at old silver pieces. A bracelet in particular caught my eye, and the associate showed me the paperwork proving that the piece was found on a dig in Europe and was almost 500 years old.

The fact that a single piece could be that old amazed me. What had it seen? Whom had it known? Where had it been? These are the thoughts that rampaged my imagination for sometime, leading to a figure that I created.

Her name was Gabrielle, and her tale was to be quite curious.

About The Curious Tale of Gabrielle

I wrote The Curious Tale of Gabrielle during a one month competition known as NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). This is a competition in which you have the month of November to write a novel with no less than 50,000 words.

With this challenge hanging over my head, I knew that it was time to bring Gabrielle to life.

This book is the first in a series of tales that follow Gabrielle as she dons an ancient bracelet. Gabrielle is thrust through time to eras with both famous and infamous figures; all the while, she listens to the tales the bracelet has to show about those who have worn it.

The Curious Tale of Gabrielle is now in the editing process. I hope to have it available for purchase (for $1) in late February.
